My tip for today is probably something that most cooks already know. If not, it can really be a time saver. I have 3 children that are school age and our mornings start very early. I prepare each of them a good breakfast each morning, especially on these chilly Midwest winter mornings. While breakfast is usually a combination of pancakes or waffles, toast, cereal, yogurt/fruit, french toast, or muffins... they really enjoy having a couple pieces of bacon or sausage to round out the meal.
I really hate the greasy mess this makes. Cooking it in bulk basically results in the same amount of mess and I only have to clean up once. To reheat, I warm in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. We enjoy biscuits and gravy for dinner occasionally. I freeze just enough grease/drippings to make gravy. Be sure to visit Tammy's Recipes for more kitchen tips!

Great tip! I do this all the time! It does save time and clean up!
Great idea! I cook waffles and pancakes in bulk and then freeze but never thought to do this with breakfast meats. Thanks so much for sharing the not so obvious! :-)
Thanks for the tip! I love those Farmland sausages. That's a really good deal! I can usually get them for a regular price of 77 cent for a package here. I like that they have no MSG in them. The bacon flavor is really good, also. I never thought to make gravy with them. How do you make your gravy?
This is a time saver. Have you put these in the oven? I think it is easier and you don't have to watch them a much.
Wow, what a deal you got! I'm not sure we have that brand here. I've used the brown and serve type. We're not big sausage eaters...although recently I bought some Jimmy Dean Pigs in Blankets and wow, were they goooood. I do need to try your idea of making and freezing bacon, though!
Well, I like sausage myself. My friend in Pennsylvania always makes me biscuits and sausage gravy when I visit. You absolutely can't get it here.
I found that i could cook sausages in the oven on a sheet pan. It takes longer, but having them pre-cooked sure saves time!
